50m net abandoned on Labrador (14 Nov 2012)
After TeamSeagrass monitoring at Labrador, the small team found an abandoned driftnet.
The net was about 50m long. It seemed newly laid possibly the day before, during public holiday?

Huge crab in driftnet at Pulau Semakau (13 Nov 2012)
On a TeamSeagrass trip to Pulau Semakau we found a huge Mud crab (Scylla sp.) trapped in an abandoned driftnet. The crab was about 30cm wide! It was still very much alive.
We also saw and removed a small crab trap.

Abandoned driftnet with lots of horsehoe crabs, Kranji (25 Jul 2012)
A long abandoned driftnet with many horseshoe crabs trapped in it was seen at Kranji mudflats during a trip with the Bivalve Workshop.
We rescued those that were still alive and removed as much as the net as we could.

More nets removed at Pulau Ubin (25 Mar 2012)
We're back to remove more nets at the same spot on Pulau Ubin that we did in Dec 2011. Although it was good to see that there were no new nets in the area we cleared, there are still lots of nets just a few steps further down.
A very long net is deeply entwined among mangrove roots along this stretch.
